Electrical Engineering

We design distribution, lighting, protection and low-current systems, review existing installations, issue coordinated drawings and specifications, and support delivery through to energisation.

Overview

Power distribution, lighting, protection and low-current systems engineered for continuity.

The practice covers medium and low-voltage distribution, protection and earthing, lighting design, standby and renewable generation, and the low-current systems that modern facilities depend on.

Every network is modelled — load flow, short-circuit and protection coordination — so selectivity is proven on paper before it is trusted in operation.

Expertise

01

MV & LV distribution

Substation layout, switchgear specification, cable sizing, routing and load balancing.

02

Protection & earthing

Relay coordination, discrimination studies, earthing and lightning protection design.

03

Lighting design

Illuminance modelling, daylight integration, emergency lighting and external schemes.

04

Standby & renewables

Generator sizing, UPS strategy, solar PV integration and changeover philosophy.

05

Low-current systems

Fire alarm, access control, CCTV, structured cabling and building management interfaces.

06

Power system studies

Load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash and harmonic analysis with mitigation measures.

Methodology

Methodology

  1. 01

    Map the demand

Build a verified load schedule including diversity, growth allowance and critical-load classification.

  2. 02

    Model the network

Run load-flow and fault studies to size equipment and prove protection discrimination.

  3. 03

    Design for maintenance

Configure the distribution so plant can be isolated and serviced without shutting down operations.

  4. 04

    Test and commission

Witness factory and site acceptance testing, then verify settings against the coordination study.

Deliverables

  1. 01 Load schedules and single-line diagrams
  2. 02 Protection coordination and fault-level studies
  3. 03 Lighting calculations and layouts
  4. 04 Cable schedules, routing and containment drawings
  5. 05 Technical specifications and tender documents
  6. 06 Testing, commissioning and settings records
Benefits

What the client gains

Proven selectivity

A fault trips the nearest device, not the incomer — supported by a documented coordination study.

Maintainable by design

Isolation and redundancy planned early, so routine maintenance never means an outage.

Room to grow

Spare capacity and expansion routes designed in rather than retrofitted expensively later.

Safety evidence

Arc-flash and earthing studies that satisfy both regulators and insurers.
