The engagement

01

The problem

A district masterplan required cooling capacity years before its final load was known. Sizing for the ultimate demand would have stranded capital in idle plant; sizing for phase one risked a rebuild.

02

Our approach

Mechanical and electrical teams modelled a staged plant with a distribution network designed once for the full load and a plant hall built out in modules. Control philosophy was written so each stage could run efficiently at partial load.

03

The outcome

Capacity now follows demand rather than forecast. Phase one operates near design efficiency instead of running oversized plant at low load, and later stages connect without disrupting supply.
